POSTCARDING PARTY
MONDAY, JULY 8th
6:00-8:00 pm
Scarsdale Synagogue

In cooperation with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) and our local branch of the organization, RAC-NY, we are supporting a postcarding effort around voting in November. For those who wish to join in these efforts, you can email Barbara Ginsberg to pick up a packet of postcards to write at home and/or we would love to see you at the synagogue on Monday evening, July 8 from 6-8 PM for pizza and postcarding. Sign up for the event and postcards below (scroll down) by July 3 at the latest. Details about the issue can be found below.

Postcarding for voters in Florida regarding reproductive rights:
The Reform Movement through RAC-FL and Women of Reform Judaism is partnering with the "YES on 4, Floridians Protecting Freedom" campaign to protect reproductive freedom through a November ballot amendment. As part of this campaign, we are making sure voters know about this important ballot measure. Our postcards, and the talking points provided, educate voters about what is at stake for reproductive freedom in Florida and why it matters. We will urge voters to engage with the democratic process and vote YES on Issue 4 to limit government interference with abortion access.

We have organized packets of 30 postcards with a set script for you to write, a list of names and addresses and we even provide the stamps!

In addition, stay tuned for a second effort for New Yorkers regarding the Equal Rights Amendment. This November, New Yorkers will likely have the chance to vote for an Equal Rights Amendment in our state constitution. The state Equal Rights Amendment will protect reproductive freedoms and the rights of marginalized groups. As Reform Jews, our values compel us to fight for equal rights, as we believe everyone is created B’tzelem Elohim (in God's image). We will get you more information as we have it.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
