The Radical Act of Welcoming Refugees: An Interfaith Gathering
Sunday, October 30, 2022 • 5 Cheshvan 5783
4:15 PM - 6:00 PMTakes place at Scarsdale Synagogue or Join via Zoom.
Join us for a very special gathering of interfaith colleagues, friends, and neighbors as we join with the other local houses of worship who collaborated with us in supporting the Hadizada family as they fled Afghanistan and settled here in Yonkers. Our gathering will include music, interfaith reflections on the imperative to welcome strangers and refugees into our midst, and will conclude with a light "nosh" so that we have the chance to get to know our new friends better.
Event Co-Sponsors:
Greenville Community Church
Hearts & Homes for Refugees
The Reformed Church of Bronxville
Scarsdale Synagogue Temples Tremont & Emanu-El
St. John's Lutheran Church of Mamaroneck
Tamid Westchester
Upper Westchester Muslim Society
