Each month, the Interfaith Food Bank requests that the students in our Mazel Tots and Religious School programs bring a specific item of food to the Synagogue to donate to the Food Bank. Congregants are encouraged to participate as well by bringing food with them for the Food Bank whenever they are coming here. The monthly Food Bank Drives are as follows:
Macaroni & Cheese
Given our sensitivity to food allergies among our pre-school and religious school children, we do not ask that the children bring in Peanut Butter, although this is an important Food Bank staple. Instead, the Tzedakah that the children bring in throughout the month of January will be used to purchase peanut butter for the United Interfaith Food Bank.
