In these challenging times since October 7, speaking about Israel, understanding our feelings and discerning a path forward can be enormously difficult. On Wednesday evening, September 18, join Rabbi Brown and Ally Glassman for a session intended to bring us together to begin (and for some of us: continue) the dialogue. We will share what we are feeling, thinking, and doing in connection to events in Israel and rising antisemitism, particularly as we approach the one year mark since the tragedy of October 7th.  Participants will have the opportunity to engage with others -- those who hold views both similar to and different from their own.

 

For 90 minutes, we will grapple with the challenge of being able to share our own thoughts authentically and freely while remaining curious about others’ viewpoints and experiences. We will explore the topic through “Heart, Head, and Hand,” a conceptual framework for difficult conversations created by Jonathan Golden of the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America.
