Join us for a very special Shabbat service reflecting on the interfaith imperative to welcome refugees into our midst. The evening will feature brief remarks from Rabbi Brown, Mary Mackintosh of the Reformed Church of Bronxville, Amy Robertson of Hearts & Homes for Refugees, and Scarsdale Synagogue/Hearts & Homes lay leader Lori Kapner Hosp. A highlight of the evening will be the chance to recognize the recently-settled family originally from Afghanistan, and the devoted interfaith volunteers (from Scarsdale Synagogue and beyond) who have supported them over the last year. A special oneg will follow, including homemade Afghani treats. All are welcome.
