Rabbi Brown Presents - One Year Later: Reflecting on COVID's Impact on our Congregation

Wednesday, May 12, 2021 1 Sivan 5781

7:30 PM - 8:30 PMZoom

With the support of our congregation's Board, Rabbi Brown has spent the last three years on an unusual sabbatical, devoting a portion of each week towards completing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. This advanced work in the study and practice of pastoral counseling was situated at the intersection of the fields of psychology and theology. As part of the writing project and research study that Rabbi Brown was to complete during the third year of the program, the congregation was invited to participate in a 41 question survey (about COVID and its impact on our membership) during the summer of 2020. More than 100 of our members completed the survey. (A special thank you to everyone who took part and helped to make Rabbi Brown's research possible!) Since that time, Rabbi Brown has been hard at work analyzing the results, and writing about them. Please join us on Wednesday May 12 at 7:30 PM via Zoom, when Rabbi Brown will share his findings and reflections with the congregation.
